Academic Success

Academic Success is Lafayette’s first officer position! When asked why she chose her current position, she said: “When I first joined SDO, the teamwork and camaraderie that alchemized academic success in this sisterhood made a lasting impression on me. Throughout organic chemistry, calculus, and microbiology, my sisters shared study strategies and flashcard decks, hosted cram sessions in the library before big exams, and exchanged meticulous class notes to make sure everyone had the resources they needed to thrive. As I approached my second year in SDO, I wanted to become more involved with the academic side of the sisterhood, this time in a leadership role. I look forward to implementing new elements into the position, while honoring long-standing traditions to further encourage academic success for our members. Most of all, I want to create a welcoming environment where my door is always open for members to reach out for support, as no sister should ever feel like she’s alone.” The aspect of her position Lafayette is most excited about is hosting our weekly Sisterhood Study Hour!
